This will be an in-person, on-site course with a twist.  David will join us remotely and we will gather as a class.  David will be coming to the US in April, 2024 at which time he will offer an in person review to only those who have attended this class at no additional fee.

This course is designed to show how rewarding working on those with long-term chronic illness and life limiting disease can be.

You will be taught how to adapt practical techniques and adjustment of pressure - specialist techniques will be taught to give Reflexologists the best practical focus for clients in this situation. Along with a high proportion of practical skills. This course will give a perfect blend of practical and theory, equipping Reflexologists to be able to treat the chronic and terminally ill with confidence. Delegates will be given a course document full of useful information for incorporating Reflexology into a clinical setting and end of life treatment.

Delegates will be able to:

  • Safely work with the chronic and terminally ill.

  • Deliver techniques to help alleviate pain.

  • Adapt treatment styles to suit the client.

    • Linking techniques

    • Creative Imagery and Reflexology

    • Energetic Field Reflexology

    • Synergistic Harmony Reflexology

  • Have knowledge of particular areas and treatment plans to focus on.

David Wayte is the Principal of Jubilee College, the UK’s largest provider of Reflexology training, he sits on the board of RiEN (Reflexology in Europe Nexus) and was the first Reflexologist to be made a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

David is passionate about two areas of Post Graduate Reflexology:  On how Reflexologists should protect their fingers and thumbs and avoid repetitive strain injury – hence his development of Finger Free® Reflexology. Also being as David is a cancer survivor, he is very aware of the power of Reflexology for palliative and hospice work, and loves to share how treatments can be adapted in these environments.

David also runs a Reflexology YouTube channel with the highly original name of ‘Davids Reflexology Channel’ 😊

David is looking forward to teaching for the Maryland Reflexology Association and sharing his skills and techniques with you.

Finger Free

Finger Free® Reflexology is designed to give a full and deep treatment to your client, without unnecessary strain or stress to the fingers and thumbs. This unique, radically different technique aims to help extend your working life, and open up a whole new way of working on the feet.

Finger Free® Reflexology utilizes metatarsal and radial heads on the hand and wrist, together with other areas of the hand and arms to give effortless, deep treatment to your clients' feet. Finger Free® also draws on the principles of Zone Therapy and Meridians, to enhance the healing power of classical Reflexology.

If you enjoy giving Reflexology treatments, but find that after a few clients, your fingers are beginning to ache, then Finger Free® could be just what you have been looking for. The techniques used in Finger Free® Reflexology reduce wear and tear on the finger joints and, therefore, assist in extending your working life.

Another advantage that Finger Free® Reflexology offers, is for the Reflexologist who has carpel tunnel syndrome, and/or double jointed fingers (or thumbs). Because the techniques are so different, and because the pressure applied is less, this new form of Reflexology has the potential to become a 'career saver’.

If you are lucky enough to have strong hands and, as yet, don't experience any signs of finger strain, Finger Free® Reflexology still has the advantage of offering your clients a different style of treatment, enabling your treatments to remain fresh, varied and interesting.
