Topic: Aromatherapy and Reflexology

Essential oils have been used from ancient times for perfuming as well as healing. There are a variety of essential oils in use world wide as healing, cleansing and meditative supports. Included in Catherine's presentation will be some history, use, quality of essential oils as well as how and where we can expand our knowlege of essential oils. Catherine is passionate, knowlegable and vivacious. Her enthusiasm for the oils will make you wonder why you've waited so long to include them in your practice.

Biographical Information
Catherine Vestraci, RN, BC, NBCR, is the Director of the Baltimore School of Reflexology in Southern Maryland. She offers year round Reflexology workshops from the Keep Well
Center at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. She is an ARCB Nationally Certified Reflexologist,  accredited by ACARET to teach Reflexology, and has served on the board of MDRA. Catherine was awarded the 2003 Centennial Award for Outstanding Nursing Practice by the Maryland Nurses Association. Her initial Essential Oil education was from Naturopath and Certified Nutritional Consultant, Mayuri Sobti. Catherine has continued her education through the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy.

 

The MDRA Teleconference Board Meeting will be held on April 18, 2012 at 7 p.m., a regular Board Meeting will be held July 29, 2012 and a Teleconference Board Meeting will be held on October 24, 2012.

The Maryland Reflexology Association is branching out.We realize that you have busy lives and may not be able to travel long distances for MDRA meetings. We are planning to bring our MDRA meetings to you around the state. Look for information about these meetings on our website and in our newsletter.

Our Winter MDRA meeting was held in this lovely setting with Bob Darlington sharing Four Minute Fitness with members who attended.  The Summer Quarterly Meeting will be held here as well August 5th with a Reflexology Share. Bon Secours Spiritual Center is near Marriottsville, MD. The rooms are large and airy and provide a great place for meetings and retreats.The grounds are beautiful and landscaped with a Labyrinth, a Peace Zen Garden and refreshing pond with a bridge. The center is located at 1525 Marriottsville Road and is easily accessible from Route 70.
